Megan Carmès is an International Counselor in ISSS, and she also co-facilitates the ISSS U.S. income tax program.

As a native Minnesotan, Megan loves to help international students acclimate to life in the Twin Cities! She advises and counsels students not only on F-1 student visa issues, but on personal, cultural, social, and academic concerns as well.

Megan has worked in international education since 2009 and was fortunate to gain experience in a variety of areas within the field. She has taught English in Japan, advised international students studying at intensive English language schools in the Midwest, and coordinated short term study abroad programs. She returned to her alma mater, St. Olaf College, in 2013 where she worked as the Assistant Director for International Student Engagement until 2022.

In her free time, Megan loves to travel, bake, watch documentaries, and go on adventures with her husband and two children!
