BEFORE YOU DROP CLASSES (9/30/2003)
NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. SMALL WORLD COFFEE HOUR THIS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5!
We know that you might be busy preparing for finals, finishing projects,
working, losing the extra pounds you gained during Thanksgiving,
or doing some shopping! But isn't everything else so much easier
if you can spend two hours RELAXING, listening to music, talking
to your friends, meeting new people, playing games, having some
delicious snacks and savoring our fresh Dunn Bros. coffee or tea?
That's why you should come and join us during our last Small World
Coffee Hour of Fall Semester. Don't forget to leave your worries
at home, bring your friends or come alone and RELAX with us!!!

2. UNIVERSITY EMPLOYEES MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR TAX TREATIES
Students and scholars who are employed by the University must
complete new tax treaty forms if their home country has a tax treaty
with the U.S. to avoid having taxes withheld from their paycheck.
These forms must be completed each year, and the deadline for 2004
is December 10, 2003. For information on tax treaties and eligibility,
look up
HR and look under
"Pay Information." To access the necessary forms, look
on the same site under "Forms." Questions should be directed
to the Payroll Call Center at 612-625-2016.
3. ISSS CLOSED TUESDAY, DECEMBER 2
Please remember that ISSS will be closed to the public on Tuesday,
December 2 due to SEVIS processing. Please note that this means:
- Financial Aid walk-ins are cancelled
- No document check for new students and scholars
- No document pick-up
Please plan accordingly. We apologize for any inconvenience this
may cause. We appreciate your continued patience as we continue
with SEVIS compliance.
