AUDITED COURSES NO LONGER COUNT TOWARD FULLTIME REGISTRATION
As of Fall Semester, 2001, the number of units of audit enrollment
will no
longer be displayed on a students transcript and thus will
not be counted
toward full-time enrollment. In the past international students
have been able
to apply enrollment in audit classes toward the registration requirement
for
full-time student status.
If you choose to audit any courses in the future, you must be
enrolled for at
least 6 additional credits as a graduate student and at least 12
additional
credits if you are an undergraduate, non-degree-seeking or professional
school
student. The additional enrollment must be using the A-F or S-N
grading scale.
Because this policy change went into effect during Fall semester
and without
prior notification, ISSS will accept audit enrollment for Fall 2001
toward the
full-time registration requirement. As of Spring Semester, 2002,
however, you
can no longer use audit enrollment to maintain full-time registration
for your
legal status.
If you audited any classes in Fall 2001, please keep the following
for your
records in case you need to prove full-time status in the future:
1. transcript
2. a letter from ISSS (see an adviser during walk-ins)
3. a copy of the Fall 2001 Class Schedule or other official university
documents
indicating credit equivalent of any classes you audited in Fall
2001.
