Training. Obtain the forms you need, ask questions, and learn from your

2. WILDERNESS EXPLORATION PROGRAM
- NO PREVIOUS CAMPING OR OUTDOOR
EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!
International Students, you are invited to join International Student and
Scholar Services for a trip to remember! We will begin our journey by
traveling up to northern Minnesota where we will gather our equipment and
get to know each other. From there, we will hike and canoe by day and enjoy
campfires, stories and food in the evenings. Everyone will be involved with
camp set-up, cooking and cleaning. For new students, this is a great chance
for you to make a positive shift into college life, meet new people, and
experience new things! For returning students, this is a great chance to
reconnect with old friends, meet new people and try new things!
NO PREVIOUS CAMPING OR OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!
HIGHLIGHTS

** Explore and discover the beauty of Minnesota's natural environment
** Experience canoeing, hiking and camping

3. ISSS SUMMER SERVICES
Please see ISSS advisers during walk-ins if you have questions about
travel, completing or changing your program, work permission, or other
questions about your immigration status. If you prefer, you can make an
appointment by calling ISSS at 612-626-7100. Personal, academic and career
counseling are also available, please call for an appointment. HAPPY SUMMER!
4. NEW SUMMER 2008 WALK IN HOURS EFFECTIVE JUNE 3.
There is a slight change for the walk-in advising hours for the summer will
be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 1:30-4:00 and Wednesday from
9:00-11:30. There will be no walk in advising on Fridays during June and

5. INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP GROUP (IFGP) INTERNS NEEDED!
ISSS is looking for undergraduate international student interns to work with
our Undergraduate International Friendship Group Program. This program was
created to ease the transition, with current undergraduate students helping
new international undergraduate students. The IFGP Internship is non-paid
but it will give you valuable training and experience you can use in your
resume and future professional work! Apply by June 27th! For details and

6. ISSS CROSS CULTURAL DISCUSSION GROUPS - FALL 2008
Applications are now available for ISSS fall 2008 cross-cultural
discussion groups. The discussion groups provide an opportunity for both
international and U.S. students to share experiences and personal thoughts
in a relaxed and casual environment. Please apply by September 10th.
