NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. ISSS SERVICES WILL BE LIMITED DURING THE WEEK MAY 30 – JUNE 3

Many ISSS staff members will be attending the National Conference of NAFSA: Association for International Educators from May 30 to June 3.

The F and J Walk–In schedule will be as follows:
Monday, May 30: Memorial Day – University closed.
Tuesday, May 31: 1:30–4:00
Wednesday, June 1: 1:30–4:00
Thursday, June 2: 1:30–4:00
Friday, June 3: Cancelled
Financial Aid Walk–Ins are cancelled that week.

Please plan your visits accordingly. Walk–Ins are available daily in May; See full schedule.

2. F–1 CURRICULAR/OPTIONAL PRACTICAL TRAINING WORKSHOP: WED, MAY 18

Attend the final CPT/OPT workshop of the spring to find out everything you need to know about Curricular and Optional Practical Training! Obtain the forms that you need, ask questions, and learn from your fellow students' questions as well. This workshop is from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Heller Hall, room 110. CPT information begins at 1:30 p.m. and OPT at 2:30 p.m. Please see the ISSS Career Series web site for the Spring 2005 schedule and workshops details.

3. CULTURE CORPS PROGRAM INFORMATION & DEADLINES

What is Culture Corps?
The goal of Culture Corps is for international students to assist faculty and departments in providing international perspectives in departmental or classroom activities. Culture Corps Projects can be initiated by students, faculty or staff! To get started, set up an appointment with Nancy O'Brien or Barbara Kappler SOON to begin talking about your idea. Call 612–626–7100 to make an appointment.

Final Deadline for Fall 2005 Culture Corps Applications is August 26!
