1. TRAVEL ADVISORY FOR F-1s ON POST-COMPLETION OPT ONLY
Due to an apparent change by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in the interpretation of a rule regarding travel for F-1s with post-completion optional practical training (OPT) authorization or OPT authorization pending, ISSS advises that these individuals access the following travel page if contemplating travel outside the U.S.
2. CAREER WORKSHOP - JOB SEARCH STRATEGIES: TUESDAY, FEB. 15
An introduction to the process of finding a practical training or career position in the U.S. We will discuss how to find job openings, what employers look for, cultural differences in the job search process, and campus resources.

Note: The next Career Workshop will be about resumes and cover letters. The Spring 2005 Career Workshop schedule is every Tuesday afternoon from February 8 to March 8 in Anderson Hall Room 370, and April 20 and May 5 in Heller Hall Room 110. Topics include resume-writing, interviewing, visa options, etc. Detailed information is available on the ISSS Career Services web page.

4. GLOBAL DISCUSSON ON-CAMPUS NEXT WEEK
Join us for an exciting discussion about “Global Poverty Gap: Why is world inequality increasing in the age of globalization?” This discussion will take place next week on Tuesday, February 22, from 12:30-1:45 p.m. in 110 Heller Hall (West Bank).
The “Global Discussion on Campus” series has been successful for about three years, with sponsorship from Culture Corps (through ISSS) and the Minnesota International Center.
