NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. F-1 & J-1 STUDENTS: TURN IN EXCEPTION FORMS IMMEDIATELY

If you are an F-1 or J-1 student taking less than a full-course of study Spring 2005 semester, you are required to fill out an "Exception from a Full-Course of Study" form before the semester begins.  If for any reason you are not registered full-time (including CPT, OPT, Academic Training, 0999 registration), you must fill out the form, have it signed by your advisor, and submit it to an ISSS adviser during Walk-ins immediately!  Failure to submit the Exception form this week could affect your legal immigration status.

2. TODAY: NEW F&J WALK-IN SCHEDULE STARTS!!

In an effort to serve you better we are increasing our Walk-in times.  The increased times will hopefully alleviate long waiting times.  BEGINNING TUESDAY, JANUARY 18 (the first day of Spring Semester 2005), the F and J Visa Advising Walk-in schedule will be as follows:

General F and J Advising Walk-ins:
Mondays: 9:00-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:00 p.m.
Tuesdays: 1:30-4:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 9:00-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:00 p.m.
Thursdays: 9:00-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-4:00 p.m.
Fridays: 1:30-4:00 p.m.
F and J Document Specialist Walk-Ins:
Tuesdays: 1:30-4:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 1:30-4:00 p.m.
Financial Aid Walk-Ins:
Tuesdays: 1:30-4:00 p.m.

There will be no Walk-ins on Tuesday and Friday mornings.  ISSS will continue to be closed to the public on Friday mornings until 10:30 a.m.  We ask for your patience as we try this new schedule.  Again, we hope that it will help us serve you better and more efficiently.  This Spring 2005 Walk-in schedule is on the ISSS web site.
