ATTENTION: USCIS Fee Increases Effective July 30, 2007
H-1B Fees
On May 30, 2007, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced major fee increases for many immigration applications, to be effective July 30, 2007. The standard I-129 filing fee for H-1B petitions will increase from the current $190 to $320. The Form I-539 fee for dependents will increase from $200 to $300.
Any new H-1B applications submitted to ISSS as of June 11 will be subject to the new higher application fees.
This policy is based on:
- the short notice from USCIS
- the need to give priority to the numerous applications that already have been submitted to ISSS
- the fact that May through August is our busiest time for H-1B applications and our normal turnaround time for applications is 4 to 8 weeks
Please note that the following H-1B-related fees will not change:
-$500 Antifraud fee
-$1000 Premium Processing fee
