Small World Coffee Hour Staff

       Team Member

Small World Coffee Hour (SWCH) has grown to be a tremendous success since it’s beginning in 1990. At its beginning, there was an average of 30 participants per event and today each event reaches an average of 200 participants. Coordinating such large events is done through a dynamic group of six students and two or three ISSS staff.

TEAM MEMBER OPPORTUNITY WITH SMALL WORLD COFFEE HOUR!!!

ISSS is looking for four enthusiastic, hard–working international students with strong communication and organizational skills to participate in our Small World Coffee Hour team. Applicants must be available from the beginning of fall semester. We especially encourage students available for the entire academic year to apply.

Responsibilities, which will require a commitment of approximately 5–7 hours per week, include:

• meeting with SWCH staff and other student organizations every other week (for about 2 hours);
• being in charge of supply management, shopping, publicity, and grants applications;
• organizing and holding each SWCH event (every other Friday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.)

Participants will receive Culture Corps funds for their involvement in this program.

To apply, please e-mail a letter of interest along with your resume as an attachment to SWCH Program Coordinator, by May of each year. Please inquire about the exact deadline.
