Travel Info. & Local Transportation
Specific information about your arrival and departure information will be sent to you very soon! Please be sure to check this website for updates as the program date draws near.
Be sure to bring an adequate supply of prescription medicines for your time in Minnesota. If you wear eye glasses, you may want to bring an extra pair in case they are accidentally lost or broken during your stay. Please carry all prescription medicines and eye glasses with you on the plane, not in your checked baggage.
We highly recommend that students limit the amount of luggage they bring with them to the United States. Airlines often charge extra if the weight of a passenger’s luggage exceeds the limits the airline has set. Please check with your airline in order to make sure that you know and follow all of the airlines’ procedures for travel.
Local Transportation
Transportation will be provided from and to the airport as well as all other all program related field trips. You will be provided with a city bus pass which you can use on any Metro Transit bus or the light rail system in the Twin Cities area. The most common buses that travel to and from the University are numbers 6, 3, 2, 16, and 50. Visit http://www.metrotransit.org/ for detailed bus schedule and times. We will be discussing bus schedules during the first week of class.
