Dr. Barbara Kappler
Barbara is an Assistant Director in International Student & Scholar Services and is responsible for Intercultural Training and Programs, including intercultural communication training and ISSS programs such as ISOP, Culture Corps, and Small World Coffee Hour. Barbara holds a B.A. in Economics and Communication and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Speech Communication. Barbara is also adjunct faculty in the department of Educational Policy and Administration. She has worked at ISSS since 1994. Barbara is co-author of three guides for students, staff, and language instructions on “Maximizing Study Abroad,” as well as a book on communication styles.
