Document Check
All new students on an F-1 or J-1 visa are required to attend Document Check after their arrival in the U.S.
New students on another visa type (H-4, H-1B, L-2, TN, etc.) must contact ISSS (isss@umn.edu or 612-626-7100) These students may not need to report in person to ISSS.
If the new student plans on changing his/her status to an F –1 or J–1 student visa, he/she will be asked to report to ISSS for Document Check.
