Student on J-1 Visa
Dear J-1 Student:
It’s important to you and to ISSS staff that you attain your educational exchange objectives while studying at the University of Minnesota. Although your priority is meeting the goals of your exchange, it’s also important that you be aware of and have access to information concerning your J-1 visa status. Failure to adhere to federal visa regulations and SEVIS requirements could result in the loss of your legal status and your inability to remain in the United States to complete your program of study.
