Exchange students
Financial Benefits

Financial Benefits vary according to the agreement in place with the partner institution. These vary from a full scholarship program to payment of full non-resident tuition and fees. Students must be nominated by a partner institution on an active exchange agreement in order to take advantage of exchange financial benefits.

Students who are interested in pursuing a short-term study program at the University of Minnesota absent an exchange agreement (or outside of the agreement’s nomination process) can apply directly and enroll in courses, but there would be no financial benefits associated with this informal type of “exchange.”

Outside of formal scholarship-based exchange agreements with specific partner institutions, it is important to note that there is no financial aid available to non-degree seeking students.
