Departure from the University of Minnesota

Departments and/or employees should notify ISSS when an H-1B employee is planning to leave their job and/or depart the U.S. permanently, especially if the job termination occurs prior to the end date of the approved H-1B petition.  Also, H-1B employees preparing to depart the U.S. should read the information in the “Grace Period” section.
